Malfunctions after Start-up and the Causes
Lockout without flame generation after “Safe Shutdown Time at Start-up” following the pre-purge
- Poor air pressure (air pressure switch set pressure error or insufficient air flow)
- Ignition failure (ignition transformer failure or electrode gap error)
Lockout with flame generation after “Safe Shutdown Time at Start-up” following the pre-purge
- Flame detection failure (defective flame detector position or weak flame detection current caused by is foreign matter stuck)
- Burner body not connected to external ground
Burner controller lockout
- No ignition within 3 seconds when the gas valve opens after high voltage arc spark occurs at start-up
- No flame detection within 1 second (“Safe Shutdown Time during Operation) upon misfire during combustion
- when the combustion air pressure is lower than the set pressure of the air pressure switch
Gas Flow Cut Out
- When the gas supply pressure falls below the set pressure of the gas pressure lower limit switch (PGSL)
- When the gas supply pressure goes above the set pressure of the gas pressure upper limit switch (PGSL).
- When the power supply is cut off
Lockout of the Leakage Monitoring Device in the Safety Shutoff Gas Valve
- When the internal leakage of gas valve exceeds the allowable leakage of table 2J-A
- When the setting value of the pressure switch monitoring leakage (PGLK) is not set to a value suitable for the gas supply pressure or when
the wiring of NO and NC is changed
[Table 2D-A. Allowable Leakage(KGS AB931 2009)]
Maximum Gas Consumption(kW) Leakage(mL/h)
~ 120 ~ 70
120 ~ 350 ~ 140
350 ~ ~ 210
