1. Self check of the brakes
The brakes with CE type, of a gearless machine , fulfill the function of the device which stops every uncontrolled car
movement, as requested by chapter 5.6.7.3 of EN81-20 standard.
The ASP116 Evolution controller fulfills the self-monitoring of the brakes by surveying the opening on startup and the
releasing on stop. The VVVF inverter ATV71L also checks the sate of the brake, ensuring here the redundancy of self
monitoring of the device.
To enable the self monitoring of the brakes, the parameter [A3 CONTROL] shall be set to [YES] in the configuration
menu (see user’s manual for more details).
How to check the brakes contacts :

Car stopped : R stands for «brake released»
Car in movement : L stands for «brake opened »
Make several calls and verify the changing of the brakes contacts.
There shouldn’t be too much delay between the changes of the 2 brakes inputs.
