21Piston Assembly Removal
Place a shop towel over the open end of the lever body near the
Contact Point Adjustment™ dial.
Use your fingers to slide the Contact Point Adjustment dial out of the
lever body.
CAUTION - EYE HAZARD
Wear safety glasses.
The piston assembly is spring loaded and will forcefully eject from the
lever body when the Contact Point Adjustment dial is removed. Be sure
to cover the end of the lever body with a shop towel to capture the
piston assembly and prevent it from becoming a projectile.
Remove the piston assembly from the lever body.
Spray isopropyl alcohol on the lever body and the lever blade, then
clean them with a shop towel.
