This section contains dimensions, capacities, and
other technical data, plus information on
government requirements and how to break-in your
motorcycle.
Vehicle Identication Numbers
The frame (PIN - Product Identication Number, or
VIN - Vehicle Identication Number) and engine
serial numbers are required when you register
your motorcycle. They
may also be required
when ordering replace-
ment parts. You can
record these numbers in
the back of the manual.
The frame number is
stamped on the right side
of the steering head, or
on an etched or stamped
tag riveted to the steering
head.
The engine number is stamped on the left side of
the engine.
