When I try to run the ver 9 or later EsdTest program I get a message saying that file FM20.dll is not registered
or Error 7 - Out of Memory, or Module not found, or System error &&H8007007E.
This file normally comes with Microsoft Outlook. If you do not have Microsoft Outlook installed then:
1. Make sure you run the complete ver 9 or later installation file
2. if you still have trouble, click Start, Run and type:
RegSvr32 c:\windows\system32\fm20.dll (or what ever the correct file path is)
3. If you still have trouble then go to

click on Setuppad.exe. Or look and see if MsSetupPad.exe is included on our installation disk, and click on it.
4. If your c:\windows\fm20.dll file is older than 1/11/1999, then go to
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/9798/fm2paste.aspx
and install the update.

1. try click Start, Run and type:
RegSvr32 c:\windows\system32\scrrun.dll
2. If there is still a problem, make sure you have the correct script files installed. Go to:

and down load the correct scripting files for your system.
When I try to display in Chinese, I only see square boxes and question marks.
You do not have the Chinese font loaded. Download and install the “Office XP Tool: Simplified Chinese Language Pack”

What are the power adapter requirements?
The combo meter is shipped with a power adapter that has been tested by Static Solutions to be compatible with the meter. Using
other supplies may invalidate the warranty. If another supply is used, it must conform to the following specifications:
1. 9-15VDC, filtered, > 50ma
2. The output connector must be a 2.5mm ID, 5.5mm OD, 12mm long barrel, female power connector, with the center pin
connected to positive voltage (i.e. center positive).
3. If a switching power supply is used, make sure the output noise is low, and an RFI filter choke is included on the cable
(such as a Steward 28A0592-0A2 or 28A0350-0B2).
4. In high noise environments, use 4 EMI filter chokes (such as a Steward 28A0592-0A2 at each end of the power cable and
one on the foot plate cable near where it connects to the meter, and a Steward 28A0593-0A2 on the RS232 cable near the
combo meter connector.)
Thus typical power supply adapters can be:
• 9VDC unregulated (i.e. 9-15VDC)
• 9VDC regulated
• 12VDC unregulated (i.e. 9-15VDC)
• 12VDC regulated
(Note - many 9VDC supplies come with a 2mm ID connector which will not work. Neither will a 9.5mm long connector)
If an Ethernet adapter is used, it’s 12VDC supply can usually be used to power the meter.
More troubleshooting tips are available through Static Solutions’ customer service Meter Department. Special systems can
be ordered from Static Solutions, which will open doors, print labels, or have an upper limit of 1000 megohms.
