PRESTART CHECKS
Fuel:
Before the trip make sure that there is enough
fuel in the tank. Use unleaded petrol only.
______________________________
● Do not overfill the fuel tank.
The fuel expands when heated up. If the
tank is filled to the brim, the fuel heated by
the engine or the sun may flow out of the
tank.
● Do not spatter the fuel, especially on the
engine or the exhaust pipe as it may cause
the fuel inflammation leading to severe
injuries. It is recommended to wipe out
the spilled fuel.
● Do not fill the fuel tank, until the engine
cools down.
● Make sure that the fuel tank cap is closed
tightly.

Engine oil
Make sure that the engine oil is filled up to the
recommended level. If necessary, fill up the oil.
(See page 79)
Gear box oil
Make sure that the oil in the front and rear
gear boxes is filled up to the recommended level.
If necessary, fill up the oil. (See pages 81-82)
Cooling agent
Make sure that the cooling agent is filled up to the
recommended level. If necessary, fill up the cooling
agent. (See page 85)
NOTE:____________________________________
The cooling agent level should be checked with
cold engine as it changes depending on the engine
temperature.

______________________________
Always let the engine and the radiator cool down
before removing the radiator cover. Otherwise,
you may get burnt by the spilled cooling agent or
by pressurized steam. When opening the radiator
filler cap, cover it with a piece of thick cloth.Prior
to the cap removal release the excessive
pressure. If the ambient air t is above 38°С, upon
the trip let the engine operate at idle speed for
3 min, without stopping it. During that period
of time the fan will cool down the radiator and the
engine, which will prevent the fluid from boiling.

Braking system
Brake levers and pedal
● Make sure there is no brake levers and handbrake
free stroke.
If the free stroke is detected, contact the repair
workshop for the braking system check.
● Check the brake pedal free stroke. If the pedal
free stroke exceeds the recommended values,
adjust it. (See page 85)
● Check the brake pedal height. If the pedal height
does not comply with the recommended values,
contact the repair workshop to adjust it.
● Check the brake levers and pedal operation.
They should move smoothly and flexibly.
Otherwise, it is necessary to contact the repair
workshop for adjustment.
Brake fluid level
Check the brake fluid level. If necessary, fill up the
the brake fluid. (See page 86)
Recommended brake fluid: SAE DOT-4
Brake fluid leakage
Check the hose connections and the expansion tank
for brake fluid leakages. Engage the braking system
approximately for one minute. If the brake lever
moves slowly when pushed, the braking system may
be leaking. To correct the fault contact the repair
workshop.
Brake operation
Upon staring movement, slow down at low speed
tocheck the brake operable condition. If the brakes
do not provide steady braking check the brake pads
for wear. (See page 87)
________________________
It is necessary to check the brakes before
everytrip. If any problems in the braking system
are detected, as well as in case of impaired
braking efficiency, do not use the vehicle
category T3b, as it may cause an accident. If the
problem cannot be corrected by adjustment in
accordance with our recommendations, contact
the repair workshop.
