MaxLife Water Filter
MAXLIFE FILTER
The MaxLife water filter is a dual membrane, 0.2 micron pharmaceutical
sterilizing-grade filter that effectively removes bacteria, fungi and protozoa from
the rinse water. The water filter is replaced, at a minimum, once every 180 days.
The filter is changed if the Processor indicates a failure of the Membrane Test
for the MaxLife water filter.
If the MaxLife water filter has not been changed within 180 days, the Processor
will print out the message:
WARNING
MAXLIFE FILTER
IN USE FOR 180 DAYS
SEE OPERATOR MANUAL
A liquid chemical sterilization cycle or a DIAGNOSTIC cycle cannot be started
until the MaxLife water filter is changed. If a cycle is attempted, the Processor
display will show:
CHANGE MAXLIFE
FILTER
WARNING: The 0.2 micron
MaxLife water filter must be
changed every 180 days.
WARNING: The performance
of the SYSTEM 1 endo
Processor has been
validated and optimized
with components
defined by STERIS in the
Operator Manual for the
SYSTEM 1 endo Processor.
Use of pre-filters that
do not meet STERIS's
specifications and have not
been validated by STERIS
can lead to premature
failure of the MaxLife water
filter inside the Processor.
STERIS’s warranty will not
apply to damage or early life
failure of the MaxLife water
filter resulting from the use
of pre-filters that do not meet
STERIS’s specifications.
DO NOT USE components
that do not meet STERIS’s
specifications and have not
been validated by STERIS.
