Gearbox with grease nipple
: Relubricate about every 50 hours of
operation.
: Apply grease gun (1) to nipple and
fill gear housing with 1/4 oz (5-10 g)
of STIHL gear lubricant for
brushcutters (see chapter “Special
Accessories“).
Gearbox with filler plug
: Check grease level regularly - about
every 25 hours of operation.
: Unscrew the filler plug (1).
: If no grease can be seen on the
inside of the filler plug, screw the
tube of grease (2) (see chapter
“Special Accessories”) into the filler
hole.
: Squeeze grease into the gear
housing - about 1/4 oz (5-10 g)
Do not not completely fill the gear
housing with grease.
: Refit the filler plug and tighten it
down firmly.
