Usage Features
The SRT 8105 ECO offers a user-friendly interface for various operations:
- Channel Management: Supports 1000 channels, allowing users to change channels directly via number input, through a channel list, or using PG+/PG- and ▲/▼ keys. Channels can be organized into up to 8 favorite lists, locked with a PIN code, skipped, moved, renamed, and deleted.
- Installation: Features Auto Scan and Channel Scan options for finding available channels. Aerial Adjustment helps optimize antenna signal strength and quality, with an option to supply 5V power for active antennas. LCN (Logical Channel Numbering) can be activated to store channels in an operator-defined order.
- Recording and Time Shift: Instant Recording allows immediate recording of the current program to a connected USB device. Time Shift enables pausing, rewinding, and fast-forwarding live TV. The EPG can be used to schedule recordings via timers.
- Multimedia Playback: The Media+ menu provides access to a Media Player for video, audio, and picture files, a Record Manager for recorded events, and tools for USB device management.
- System Setup: Includes settings for Language (OSD, audio, subtitle, teletext), TV System (video resolution, aspect mode, connection type, digital audio output), Local Time Setting (region, GMT usage, GMT offset), Timer Setting (up to 8 timers for recording or wake-up), Parental Lock (menu and channel protection), and OSD Setting (timeout, transparency).
- USB Device Usage: Recommends USB 2.0 or higher storage devices for optimal recording and playback. Advises formatting USB devices to FAT32 via the receiver's "Media+" menu for best performance, though NTFS formatted disks can also be used. Users are cautioned to back up data before formatting.

Maintenance Features
- Software Upgrade: The receiver supports software upgrades via USB (using a file from www.strong.tv) and Over The Air (OTA) updates, ensuring the device stays up-to-date with the latest features and bug fixes.
- Factory Reset: The "Load Factory Setting" option allows users to reset the receiver to its default settings, which can be useful for troubleshooting or preparing the device for a new setup. This action permanently deletes all stored channels and settings.
- USB Device Removal: A "Remove USB device safely" function is provided to ensure proper disconnection of external storage, preventing data corruption.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a troubleshooting section to help users diagnose and resolve common issues such as no signal, no picture/sound, or remote control problems.
- Cleaning: The receiver should be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with a mild soap solution, only after disconnecting from the mains voltage supply. Alcohol or ammonia-based liquids should not be used.
- Safety Precautions: Users are advised not to open the receiver cover, as it voids the warranty and poses electrical hazards. All maintenance should be referred to qualified service personnel. Proper ventilation is emphasized, and the receiver should not be exposed to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, or intense vibrations.
