4.2 MADI Sync Extractor (Optional)
With more and more signals being transported on optical fibre links for
improved immunity against signal distortion like hum, many systems
have inputs and outputs located remotely. These inputs and outputs
must be synchronized to the main digital system.
Examples: stage boxes in theaters or PA applications, OB-vans, or sim-
ple long distance connections between the different parts of a broad-
cast center.
