2.2 Storage
Note
To protect the hydraulic cylinder
piston rod while in storage, keep the
work equipment in the fig shown at
right. (This prevents rust from
developing on the piston rod).
2.2.1 Before storage
Clean and wash all surface and exposed parts.
Apply grease to all lubricating parts until fresh
grease spills out.
Change engine oil.
Apply grease to exposed parts on piston rod.
Top up fuel tank with diesel oil.
Disconnect battery negative terminal and
secure battery cover. You can also remove the
battery from the machine, store it separately.
If the expected ambient temperature may
below 0°C (32°F), mix coolant with
anti-freezing liquid.
Select proper storage position: The machine
must be kept at well-ventilated indoor place, if
the machine has to be stored outdoors, select
level, firm ground and cover the machine with
a sheet.
