4.4 LED Indicators
BMC LAN Port LEDs
A dedicated BMC LAN is located on the rear I/O panel and has two LED indicators. The LED
on the right indicates connection and activity, while the LED on the left indicates the speed of
connection. The Link LED may amber, green, or o󰀨 to indicate the speed of the connection.

UID LED Indicator (LED4)
The rear LED8 is located next to the UID switch. The front UID LED is located on the front
panel. When you press the UID switch, both rear LED8 and front UID LED indicators will
turn on. Press the UID switch again to turn o󰀨 the LED indicators. Use this UID Indicator to
'mark' the system, so the system can be easily identied whether on the front or back (e.g.,
a system rack with multiple units installed).

BMC Heartbeat LED (LED1)
A BMC Heartbeat LED is located at LED1 on the motherboard. When LED1 is blinking, the
BMC is functioning normally. See the table below for more information.
