4-5 Installing Hard Drives
The drives are mounted in drive carriers to simplify their installation and removal
Caution: Except for short periods of time, such as swapping hard drives, do not
operate the server with the hard drive bays empty.
Removing Hard Drive Carriers from the Chassis
1. Press the release button on the drive carrier. This extends the drive carrier
handle.
2. Use the handle to pull the drive out of the chassis.
