Congure SATA as
Use this feature to select the mode for the installed SATA drives. The options are AHCI and
RAID. Select AHCI to congure a SATA drive specied by the user as an AHCI drive. Select
RAID to congure a SATA drive specied by the user as a RAID drive.
Note: This feature is hidden when SATA Controller(s) is set to Disable.
Aggressive Link Power Management
When this feature is set to Enabled, the SATA AHCI controller manages the power use of the
SATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode during an extended period of
I/O inactivity, and will return the link to an active state when I/O activity resumes. The options
are Enabled and Disabled.
Storage Option ROM/UEFI Driver
This feature controls the execution of UEFI and Legacy OPROM. The options are Disabled,
UEFI, and Legacy.
Serial ATA Port 0~7:
Software Preserve
This feature displays the software information for the detected device.
Hot Plug
This feature designates the port specied for hot plugging. Set this feature to Enabled for
hot-plugging support, which will allow the user to replace a SATA disk drive without shutting
down the system. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Spin Up Device
When this feature is disabled, all drives will spin up at boot. When it is enabled, it will perform
Staggered Spin Up on any drive that this feature has activated. The options are Enabled and
Disabled.
SATA Device Type
Use this feature to identify the type of HDD that is connected to the STATA port. The options
are Hard Disk Drive and Solid State Drive.
ACPI Settings
Use this feature to congure Advanced Conguration and Power Interface (ACPI) power
management settings for your system.
