Do you have a question about the SY-KLONE ADVISOR RESPA and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The RESPA Advisor+ is a comprehensive pressure and CO2 monitoring system designed for enclosed cabs, providing real-time insights into the operator environment and filter usage. The system consists of an in-cab Main Module (monitor) with an LCD touchscreen display and an External Ambient Pressure Sensor (APS) mounted on the exterior of the cab. It is ISO 23875 compliant, ensuring adherence to industry standards for air quality in operator enclosures.

Function Description:

The primary function of the RESPA Advisor+ is to monitor and display the differential pressure between the inside and outside of an enclosed cab, the CO2 concentration (in parts per million, PPM) within the cab, and to track the usage life of installed filters. It provides real-time data, visual alerts through display color changes (green for good, amber for warning, red for alarm), and audible alarms to notify operators of potentially unsafe conditions. The system is designed to help maintain a safe and healthy environment for operators by ensuring proper cab pressurization and acceptable CO2 levels. Data logging capabilities allow for detailed analysis of cab conditions over time, which can be downloaded via Bluetooth to a smartphone app for further review and sharing.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Voltage: 12-24 VDC, with undervoltage protection at 10 VDC and overvoltage protection at 30 VDC.
  • Current Consumption: Main Module less than 30 mA, Ambient Pressure Sensor less than 0.6 mA.
  • Operating Temperature Rating: Main Module -10°C to 60°C (inside cab), Ambient Pressure Sensor -40°C to 80°C (outside cab).
  • Storage Temperature Rating: -55°C to 125°C.
  • Operating Pressure Range: 0 to 400 Pascal (Pa) (0 to 1.61 Inches-H2O).
  • Operating CO2 Range: 0 to 5000 ppm.
  • Display Resolution: 1 Pa (0.01 Inches-H2O).
  • Weight: Main Module 426.0 g (15.0 oz), Ambient Pressure Sensor 368.5 g (13.1 oz).
  • Dimensions: Main Module 164.8 x 75.3 x 43.6 mm (6.49 x 2.96 x 1.72 inches), Ambient Pressure Sensor 134.3 x 81.1 x 44.1 mm (5.29 x 3.19 x 1.74 inches).
  • Connector: Deutsch part number DT04-2P-E005.
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth for data logging and app integration.

Usage Features:

  • Touchscreen Interface: The Main Module features a pressure-sensitive LCD touchscreen for easy navigation and setting adjustments. A stylus (not included) or a retracted ballpoint pen is recommended for interaction to prevent screen damage.
  • Customizable Settings: Users can adjust various parameters, including:
    • Pressure units of measure (Pascal or Inches of H2O).
    • Low and high-pressure alarm thresholds and their respective time delays.
    • Primary CO2 PPM alarm threshold.
    • Secondary CO2 PPM alarm interval (non-adjustable at 2500 PPM, but mute interval is adjustable).
    • Alarm volume.
    • Filter life settings to synchronize with preventative maintenance cycles or debris conditions.
    • Mute length for alarms.
    • Pin code for accessing user options.
  • Main Display Screen: Shows real-time cab pressure, CO2 level, alarm thresholds, and installed filter types.
  • Filter Identification and Tracking: The system supports up to six assignable filter locations (2-4, 6-8) for both fresh and recirculation filters. It tracks the life of each filter, with default hours based on filter type (e.g., F9/MERV 16, H13/HEPA, ABEK1 P3 HEPA, Odor HEPA, and a customizable option). The filter life bar diminishes from right to left, and the display color changes to amber (20% or less life remaining) and red (no life remaining) as filters approach expiration.
  • Alarm System:
    • Pressure Alarms: Triggered when cab pressure drops below the low-pressure threshold or rises above the high-pressure threshold. Display color changes to amber (10% above low threshold or 10% below high threshold) and red (at or outside thresholds).
    • CO2 Alarms: Triggered when CO2 levels exceed the primary (user-adjustable) or secondary (fixed at 2500 PPM) thresholds. Display color changes to amber (90-99% of primary threshold) and red (at or above primary threshold).
    • Audible Alarms: Sound under alarm conditions and can be muted for a set duration or until the condition is resolved.
  • Data Logging: Records cab conditions at user-specified intervals (from 1 second to 10 minutes). Logs can be downloaded via Bluetooth to the RESPA Advisor+ smartphone app for analysis.
  • Smartphone App Integration: The RESPA Advisor+ app (available on App Store and Google Play) allows for data log downloads, sharing, and access to online resources.

Maintenance Features:

  • Filter Replacement: The system provides a clear process for removing and reassigning filters, which restores filter life to 100% and sets filter-life hours to default maximum values.
  • Recalibration: If erratic pressure readings occur or the pressure does not drop to zero when the cab door is opened, the monitor can be recalibrated using a specific six-digit PIN code.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity Management: Includes options to scan for and connect to the Ambient Pressure Sensor (APS) if it loses connection, ensuring continuous monitoring.
  • Online Support Resources: Access to email updates, download links for the smartphone app, and digital versions of the operator manual via Sy-Klone.com/RAinfo.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance on checking wiring if the system does not start and how to manually connect the APS via Bluetooth settings if it doesn't connect automatically.
