Throttle Free Play Inspection
• Check if there is 5°~10° free play on the throttle grip.
• Have the throttle free play checked and adjusted by
an authorized SYM dealer.
CAUTION
•
Make sure the throttle can operate smoothly.
Battery Inspection
• This motorcycle is equipped with a sealed type battery. No need to add distilled water. Have
your battery checked by an authorized SYM dealer, if necessary.
• Clean if the electrode is dirty or rusty. Procedures as following:
Turn off the main switch.
Remove negative terminal (-) first, then the positive terminal (+).
CAUTION
Clean with warm water, if there is white substance on the terminal.
Remove the terminal and clean with steel brush or sandpaper, if there is rust.
Apply grease on the terminal after cleaning.
Install the battery in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION
Never open the cap of the battery.
When long time not is use, remove the battery from the scooter, charge fully, and store at
well ventilation area. If the battery has to be kept on the scooter, remove the negative
terminal.
Be sure to turn off main switch before replacing the battery.
Never remove positive or negative terminal from battery while engine is still running.
