4. Set the correct Diplexer Type and set Output IDS Control to 0 dB.
5. Using two-way communication, establish contact with the technician at the next amplifier/node on the upstream.
This technician’s RF spectrum analyser test meter should be connected to the test point where the return path
signals can be seen from a signal generator. Advise the technician at the amplifier being setup to adjust the
upstream tilt so that the 2 x CW signals are at the same level.
