Because the machine is able to operate at power levels ranging from a minimum of 30 to a
maximum of 500 Watts, it can therefore handle external analog signals ranging from 0.3 to 5 Vdc.
However, the power is effectively constant only above 50 Watts: below this value it depends on the
number of RPM, and the number of RPMs must be reduced to obtain power levels below 50 Watt.
It is also important to note that, due to the AD conversion, the power value shown on the machine
display may be slightly different from the setting (+/- 2 watt).
WARNING: the special SW version must be installed on the machine.
4.3.1. CALIBRATING THE INTERFACE
In order to calibrate the interface, simultaneously press the “0” and “Race” keys and adjust trimmer
P1 until the power value shown on the machine display matches the value programmed by the
external device.
The recommended power value for this calibration procedure is 100 Watt.
WARNING: this function can be retro-fitted on standard machines (HC600), using the
special upgrade kit (order code A439). The kit contains an EPROM with the special SW
version, and the converter.
