10. Decelerate and wait until the vehicle wheel is stationary on the roller.
11. Move the vehicle out of the rollers.
12. Print the report
WARNING!
If wheel speed is higher than 2 km/h, the locking of the
roller is not carried out, but the system will gradually
increase the braking current of the dynamometer to its
maximum capacity and only when the speed drops below
2 km/h the locking of the front roller is activated.
WARNING!
The locking of the front roller is timed and is cancelled
after a few seconds.
This program allows you to determine the level of pollution produced by the
vehicle.
The main data displayed are:
o Instantaneous speed in km/h
o Travelled distance during the test in km
o Value of carbon dioxide (CO2) measured in % by volume
o Value of carbon monoxide (CO) measured in % by volume
o Values of: oxygen (O2) in % by volume; hydrocarbons (HC) in
hexane equivalent, measured in parts per million by volume (ppm
vol); engine revolutions per minute (RPM)
o Values of: lambda factor, nitrogen oxide (NO) in parts per million;
Note
The gas tested to assess the level of pollutant emissions from a motorcycle is
the CO2 concentration. Unlike for passenger cars, where the (corrected) CO
values must be below a certain limit, for motorcycles the CO2 values must be
above the limit defined in the regulations.
The measurement of the CO2 concentration gives an indication of the quality
of combustion in the vehicle: a sufficiently high value of CO2, above the limits
set by the regulations in force, indicates that the values of the other pollutants
are relatively low.
