The cable shield is connected to the GND of the tension link.
The shield of the accessory cables is connected to the knurled
nut and therefore the GND of the tension link. Only shielded and
low-capacity cables must be used for extending. The allowed
maximum and minimum lengths of the cable are specified in the
ISO 11898-2. The shield must also be properly connected.
