After the A trigger event is recogni ze d, t he osc illoscope begins
counting B trigger events. However, for the first B event to be
counted, that event must consist of both an opposite-pol ari ty edge
and the edge tha t i s counted. The opposite-polarit y edge must occur
≥5 ns after the A trigger arming event. If this condition is not met,
the oscilloscope does not count the first event, which results in a
trigger on the n+1
st
