1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. It contains important information for
your safety as well as operating and maintenance advice.
1 . Please follow all safety precautions in order to prevent damage due to improper use of
the appliance. Follow all warning instructions on the appliance.
2 . Please keep this user manual carefully for future use. Should this appliance be passed
along to a third party, this user manual must be handed on as well. Do not use the
appliance in the bathroom or outdoors.
3 . Please use the appliance for its intended purpose only. The device is not suitable
for industrial use. This device is designed exclusively for household use.
4 . In the event of improper use or erroneous handling, no liability can be assumed for any
possible damage which may occur.
5 . Before connecting the device to the mains supply, please check that the type of power
and mains voltage match the information provided on the type plate.
6 . Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the device from the mains and inform
your specialist retailer if the device is damaged.
7 . Danger of electric shock! Never try to repair the device yourself. Only allow qualied
personnel to repair the machine, in the event of malfunctions.
8 . Warning! Never immerse the product in water or other liquids while cleaning or
operating it. Never hold the product under running water.
9 . Do not place it in the direct vicinity of liquids - e.g. bathtubs, sinks, buckets, in a damp
basement or close to a swimming pool.
10 . Don’t start up the device with damp hands or if you are standing on a wet oor. Never
grasp the power plug with damp or wet hands.
11 . Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not introduce any metal objects
into the interior of the housing.
12 . Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could
pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts
and accessories. Use the supplied power adaptors only.
13 . The device is only suitable for use in temperate latitudes. Do not use it in the tropics
climate or in humid climatic conditions.
14 . Keep the appliance away from all hot surfaces and naked ames. Always put the
appliance on a level, stable, clean, dry surface. Protect the device from extreme heat
and cold, dust, direct sunlight, humidity and drops or jets of water.
15 . Do not place any heavy objects on the device. Don’t put objects with naked ames,
(such as candles) on or next to the device. Never put items containing liquid (such as
vases) on or next to the device.
16 . Do not cover the ventilation openings of the device. Please ensure that the room is
adequately ventilated.
17 . This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless
they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or from whom they
received instructions on how to use the tool.
18 . Children must be supervised, to ensure that they don’t play with the product.
19 . This is a class II appliance (for the power adaptors only).
