NUMBER Of RINGS
You can set the answering system to answer an incoming call after two, four, six or
eight rings; or toll saver. With toll saver selected, the answering system answers
after two rings when you have new messages, or after four rings when you have
no new messages. This enables you to check for new messages and avoid paying
unnecessary long distance charges if you are calling from outside your local area.
Press MENU when the phone is not in use. And then press or to scroll to
ANS. MACHINE.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to TAM SETTINGS.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to ANSWER DELAY.
Press SELECT and or to choose 2 RINGS, 4 RINGS, 6 RINGS, 8 RINGS or
TIME SAVER.
Press SELECT to conrm your selection. You hear a conrmation tone.
TAM SETTINGS
To set the answer mode:
Press MENU when the phone is not in use. And then press or to scroll to
ANS. MACHINE.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to TAM SETTINGS.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to ANSWER MODE.
Press SELECT and or to choose ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY.
Press SELECT to conrm your selection. You hear a conrmation tone.
To set the compression:
Press MENU when the phone is not in use. And then press or to scroll to
ANS. MACHINE.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to TAM SETTINGS.
Press SELECT and or to scroll to COMPRESSION.
Press SELECT and or to choose LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH.
Press SELECT to conrm your selection. You hear a conrmation tone.
