10.5.2 Local upgrade
To prevent the router from being damaged:
− Ensure that the firmware is applicable to the router.
− It is recommended to upgrade the firmware by connecting a LAN port to a computer and
performing the upgrade on the web UI.
− When you are upgrading the firmware, do not power off the router.
Step 1 Go to www.tendacn.com. Download an applicable firmware of the router to your local
computer and unzip it.
Step 2 Log in to the web UI of the router.
Step 3 Navigate to System Settings > Firmware Upgrade.
Step 4 Choose Local Upgrade.
Step 5 Click Selectafile. Select and upload the firmware that has been downloaded to your
computer in step 1, and click Upgrade.

Wait for a moment until the ongoing process finishes. Log in to the web UI of the router again, you
can check whether the upgrade is successful based on the Firmware Version on the Internet Status
page.
For better performance of the new firmware, you are recommended to reset the router to factory
default settings and re-configure the router when the upgrading is completed.
