Why is my Tennant Blower having poor sweeping performance?

      Jeffrey DicksonJul 27, 2025
If your Tennant Blower's sweeping performance is poor, several issues could be responsible. Start by checking the brushes for wear and replace them if needed. Ensure that the main and side brushes are properly adjusted. Clear any debris caught in the main brush drive mechanism. Also, ensure the hopper is not full and empty it if necessary. Inspect the hopper lip skirts for wear or damage and replace them if needed. Make sure the hopper door is fully open and put the main brush in Float position.

Why is my Tennant 6600 Floor Machine dusting excessively?
    • M
      Melissa SmithAug 3, 2025
Excessive dusting from your Tennant Floor Machine can occur for several reasons. It may be due to worn, damaged, or misadjusted brush skirts and dust seals, which require replacement or adjustment. A clogged hopper dust filter can also be the cause; try shaking, cleaning, or replacing it. Ensure the shaker solenoid spring is connected and that the filter shaker plate is installed correctly, with the shaker solenoid pin properly inserted into the filter element comb's hole. Operating the engine at Fast 2 speed instead of Fast 1, a damaged vacuum hose (replace it), a vacuum fan failure (contact TENNANT service), a partially or completely closed hopper door (open it), or a tripped Thermo Sentryt (reset it) could also lead to excessive dusting.
