2. Remove the fan guard from the machine by sliding
it upward (fig. 8-2).

1. To install the fan guard, reverse the removal
procedure.

1. Remove key to avoid accidental start, then remove
the bolts (2) securing the fuel pump/filter assembly
to the radiator support and lay it aside over the
bumper to allow clearance to remove the shroud
and fan (fig. 8-3).
2. Remove the bolts (6) securing the radiator and
shroud to the radiator support (fig. 8-4).
3. Push the shroud forward to allow access to the fan
mounting bolts.
4. Remove the nuts (4) securing the fan to the
engine, then remove the fan from between the
shroud and radiator as shown
(fig. 8-5, 8-6).
Installation
1. To install the fan, reverse the removal procedure.
