DETAILS OF SELECTOR VALVE
VERSION WITH SAND FILTER ONLY
1. Filter: position of valve during normal ltration.
Water is directed into the lter, through the
sand bed and back to the pool.
2. : position of valve allowing reverse
ow through the lter for cleaning purposes.
Water is pumped into the lter from the
bottom, up through the sand bed to remove
the impurities, and out of the top directly to the
drain.
3. Rinse: position of valve selected following
backwash, to ush the lter bed. Water is
pumped into the lter from the top, down
through the sand bed and out of the bottom
directly to the drain.
4. Waste: position of valve allowing excess water
to drain from the overow tank. When the
amount of water in the overow tank has been
swollen by rain, run the lter pump until the
“H
2
O ON” message appears in the display, then
shut off the pump and return the valve to the
“Filter” position. The excess water is diverted
from the pump directly to the drain, without
passing through the lter.
5. : position of valve allowing
circulation of a treatment chemical, without
ltration. Water is returned directly to the pool,
without passing through the lter.
6. Closet: position of valve when the ports are
closed. Water does not pass through the lter.
