Mobile Belt Loader Model 660-28 Operation
Operation Manual Section 1
The brake pressure switch is located near the hydro-boost brake booster. The brake pressure switch share
an input to the TCM which prevents FWD or REV engagement unless the brake pedal is depressed.
1.3.12.9ParkBrakeSwitch
The park brake switch is located near the park brake handle. The park brake share input to the TCM which
prevents FWD or REV engagement unless the brake pedal is depressed.
1.3.12.10Conveyorup/downinhibitvalve(Optional)
Conveyor valve is installed in the main hydraulic manifold (located under the seat) which prevents
movement of the conveyor up or down based on inputs from the vehicle. These inputs are configurable
and can be any combination of the following:
• Stop conveyor movement when shifter is not in neutral
• Stop conveyor movement based on ultrasonic sensor object detections
1.3.12.11Electronic Shifter(Optional)
Electronic shifter replaces the standard cable operated shifter. The shift cable and linkage is not installed,
instead, there are 4 switches located within the shifter which sends signals to the TCM for FWD and REV.
There are two switches for FWD and two switches for REV. Both circuits have to close for either FWD or
REV to engage.
1.3.13AdditionalComponents
1.3.13.1Frame
The body panels are fabricated in six (6) sections, three (3) on each of the right and left sides of the
vehicle. The panels are bolted to the chassis with standard mounting hardware.
The front and rear sections (representing the front and rear fenders) are mounted separately from the
center section and may be replaced independently.
A body panel support structure is integrated in chassis which incorporates the pivot and attaching points
for the front and rear lift frames and the lift cylinders.
1.3.13.2WheelsandTires
The Steer and drive axles utilize wheels with 8 bolts.
The tractor’s pneumatic tires are tubeless with an 8-ply rating. The pneumatic tire gives a smooth ride
combined with maximum traction effort.
1.3.13.3Fasteners
All major structural fasteners are Grade 8, heat treated and use high strength lock nuts, or lock washers
and non-locking nuts depending on the joint design.
1.3.13.4ShiftInhibit
Integral with the right-hand side of the Instrument Panel, the shift inhibit prevent cargo falling off the
conveyor belt, knocking the belt loader unintentionally into gear.
1.3.14Standard/OptionalEquipment/Features
The TUG Mobile Belt Loader is manufactured with standard equipment/features, as well as a variety of
optional equipment/features:
NOTE:
Remember to check the pressure of your pneumatic tires regularly. Uneven tire pressure will
not only increase tire wear, but will also decrease traction.
