2.ClickDisplayattheleft.
3.SelectChangedisplaysettings.Checkwhetherthescreenresolutioniscorrectlyset.
4.ClickAdvancedSettings.
5.ClicktheAdaptertab.Ensurethatthecorrectdevicedrivernameisshownintheadapterinformation
window.
Note:Thedevicedrivernamedependsonthevideochipthathasbeeninstalledonyourcomputer.
6.ClicktheMonitortab.Ensurethatthecorrectdevicedrivernameisshownintheadapterinformation
window.
7.ClickthePropertiesbutton.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconrmation,type
thepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandmakesurethatthedevice
isworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
8.ClicktheColorManagementtab.Checkwhetherthecolorqualityiscorrectlyset,andensure
thattheotherinformationalsoiscorrect.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordor
conrmation,typethepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandensure
thatthedeviceisworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructions
onthescreen.
•Problem:Incorrectcharactersaredisplayedonthescreen.
Solution:Didyouinstalltheoperatingsystemorprogramcorrectly?Iftheyareinstalledandcongured
correctly,havethecomputerserviced.
•Problem:Thescreenstaysonevenafteryouturnoffyourcomputer.
Solution:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormoretoturnoffyourcomputer;then
turnitonagain.
•Problem:Missing,discolored,orbrightdotsappearonthescreeneverytimeyouturnonyourcomputer.
Solution:ThisisanintrinsiccharacteristicoftheTFTtechnology.Yourcomputerdisplaycontains
multiplethin-lmtransistors(TFTs).Asmallnumberofmissing,discolored,orbrightdotsonthescreen
mightexistallthetime.
Externalmonitorproblems
•Problem:Theexternalmonitorisblank.
Solution:Tobringuptheimage,pressFn+F7andselectthedesiredmonitor.Iftheproblempersists,
dothefollowing:
1.Connecttheexternalmonitortoanothercomputertomakesurethatitworks.
2.Reconnecttheexternalmonitortoyourcomputer.
3.Refertothemanualshippedwiththeexternalmonitortochecktheresolutionsandrefreshratesthat
aresupported.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsthesameresolutionasthecomputerdisplayorahigherresolution,
viewoutputontheexternalmonitororonboththeexternalmonitorandthecomputerdisplay.
–Iftheexternalmonitorsupportsalowerresolutionthanthecomputerdisplay,viewoutputonthe
externalmonitoronly.(Ifyouviewoutputonboththecomputerdisplayandtheexternalmonitor,
theexternalmonitorscreenwillbeblankordistorted.)
•Problem:Youcannotsetahigherresolutionthanthepresentoneonyourexternalmonitor.
