1.StartThinkPadSetup.
2.SelectStartup.
3.SelectUEFI/LegacyBoot.
4.Dooneofthefollowing:
•IfyouwanttoinstalltheWindows7(32–bit)operatingsystem,selectLegacyOnlyorBoth.
•IfyouwanttoinstalltheWindows7(64–bit)operatingsysteminLegacymode,selectLegacyOnly.
•IfyouwanttoinstalltheWindows7(64–bit)operatingsysteminUEFImode,selectUEFIOnly.
5.PressF10tosavethechangesandrestartthesystem.
6.InserttheWindows7operatingsysteminstallationDVDintotheexternalDVDdrive,andrestartthe
computer.
7.RestoreC:\SWTOOLSfromthebackupcopyyoumadebeforestartingtheinstallation.
8.InstalltheThinkPadAMDSMBusDriverforWindows7andtheThinkPadAMDSATAControllerDriver
forWindows7.
9.Installdevicedrivers.See“InstallingotherdevicedriversandsoftwareontheWindows7operating
system”onpage78.
