Installing the Cartridge
All pick-up systems with SME bayonet mount
can be fitted directly to the TP 124 tone arm. If
you wish to use a dierent cartridge, the TD 124
DD comes with a headshell with SME bayonet
for this purpose. In this case, first attach the car-
tridge to the headshell according to the cartridge
manufacturer‘s instructions. (Fig. 9) The connec-
tion cables in the headshell are color-coded as
follows:
R - Right Channel ( Signal ) -> Red
G - ight Channel ( Ground ) -> Green
L - Left Channel ( signal ) -> White
G - Left Channel ( Ground ) -> Blue
Carefully insert the cartridge or headshell with
the cartridge mounted into the bayonet catch
and turn the locking ring clockwise to lock the
catch. The cartridge system is now mounted and
the tonearm can be adjusted to fit. (Fig. 10)
