3.Connectanendofthepositive(+)jumpercable
tothejumppost(Figure52).
4.Connecttheotherendofthepositive(+)jumper
cabletothepositiveterminalofthebatteryin
theothermachine.
5.Connectanendofthenegative(-)jumpercable
tothenegativepostofthebatteryintheother
machine.
6.Connecttheotherendofthenegative(-)jumper
cabletoagroundpoint,suchasanunpainted
boltorchassismember.
7.Starttheengineintheothermachine.Letitrun
afewminutes,thenstartyourengine.
8.Removethecablesinthereverseorderof
connection.
9.Installthecovertothejumppost.
ServicingtheFuses
Theelectricalsystemisprotectedbyfuses.Itrequires
nomaintenance;however,ifafuseblows,checkthe
component/circuitforamalfunctionorashort.Figure
53illustratesthefuseblockandidentiesthefuse
positions.
