Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured

theFastpositionforbestperformance.Alwaysoperateinthe
Fastthrottlepositionwhenrunningpoweredattachments.

Themachinecanturnveryrapidly.Youmaylose
controlofitandcausepersonalinjuryordamage
tomachine.
•Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
•Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
1.Releasetheparkingbrake.
Note:Theenginewillkillifthetractioncontrollevers
aremovedoutoftheNeutral-Lockedpositionwith
theparkingbrakeengaged.
2.Movetheleverstothecenter,un-lockedposition.
3.Drivethemachineasfollows:
•Togostraightforward,slowlypushthemotion
controlleversforward(
Figure46).
•Togostraightrearward,slowlypullthemotion
controlleversrearward(Figure46).
•Toturn,slowthemachinebypullingbackonboth
leversandthenpushforwardontheleveronthe
oppositesidefromwhichyouwanttoturn(Figure
46).
•Tostop,pullthemotioncontrolleverstothe
neutralposition.
Note:Thefartheryoumovethetractioncontrol
leversineitherdirection,thefasterthemachinewill
moveinthatdirection.

1.Movethetractioncontrolleverstoneutralandtothe
lockedposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,settheparkingbrake,andmove
thethrottlelevertotheSlowposition.
3.Lettheengineidlefor60seconds.
4.TurntheignitionkeytotheOffposition(Figure45).
Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
5.Removethekeybeforetransportingorstoringmachine.
Important:Makesuretoremovethekeyasthe
fuelpumporaccessoriesmayrunandcausethe
batterytolosecharge.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsetthe
parkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended,evenifjustforafewminutes.
