FUEL SYSTEM (Fig. 31)
Fuel Tank
Drain and clean fuel tank every 800 hours of operation
or yearly, whichever comes first. Also, drain and clean
tank if fuel system becomes contaminated or if machine
is to be stored for an extended period. Use clean fuel to
flush out the tank.
DANGER
Because diesel fuel is highly flammable,
use caution when storing or handling it.
Do not smoke while filling the fuel tank. Do
not fill fuel tank while engine is running,
hot, or when machine is in an enclosed
area. Always fill fuel tank outside and wipe
up any spilled diesel fuel before starting
the engine. Store fuel in a clean, safety-
approved container and keep cap in place.
Use diesel fuel for the engine only; not for
any other purpose.
Fuel Lines and Connections
Check lines and connections every 400 hours or yearly,
whichever comes first. Inspect for deterioration,
damage, or loose connections.
Draining Fuel Filter / Water Separator

separator daily.
