checktheoillevelbeforeandafteryourststarttheengine.
Checktheoillevelbeforeoperatingthemachineeachdayor
eachtimeyouusethemachine.
Thecrankcasecapacityisapproximately3.8L(4.0qt)with
thelter.Usehigh-qualityengineoilthatmeetsthefollowing
specications:
•APIClassicationLevelRequired:CH-4,CI-4orhigher.
•Preferredoil:SAE15W-40(above-17°C(0°F)
•Alternateoil:SAE10W-30or5W-30(alltemperatures)
Note:ToroPremiumEngineoilisavailablefromyour
distributorineither15W-40or10W-30viscosity.Seethe
partscatalogforpartnumbers.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthemower
deck,movethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition,
stoptheengine,andremovethekeyfromtheignition
switch.
2.Openthehood.
