•Useafunnelandllthefueltankoutdoors,in
anopenarea,whentheengineisoffandiscold.
Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
fueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis6to13mm
(1/4to1/2inch)belowthebottomoftheller
neck.Thisemptyspaceinthetankallowsthe
fueltoexpand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstayaway
fromanopenameorwherefuelfumesmaybe
ignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedcontainer
andkeepthecapinplace.

ServiceInterval:Every800hours
Drainandcleanthefueltankevery800hours.Also,drainand
cleanthetankiffuelsystembecomescontaminatedorifthe
machinewillbestoredforanextendedperiodoftime.Use
cleanfueltoushoutthetank.
FuelLinesandConnections
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsevery400hoursor
yearly,whichevercomesrst.Inspectthemfordeterioration,
damage,orlooseconnections.
ServicingtheWaterSeparator
ServiceInterval:Every400hours
Drainwaterorothercontaminantsfromwaterseparator
(Figure53)daily.Replaceltercanisterafterevery400hours
ofoperation.
1.Placeacleancontainerunderthefuellter.
2.Loosenthedrainplugonthebottomofthelter
canister.
