Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position.

After the rst 5 hours
Change the engine oil.
Before each use or daily
Check the safety-interlock system.
Check the air cleaner for dirty, loose, or damaged parts.
Check the engine-oil level.
Clean the air intake screen.
Inspect the blades.
Inspect the grass deector for damage.
After each use
Clean the mower-deck housing.
Every 25 hours
Grease all lubrication points.
Clean the air-cleaner foam element (more often in dusty, dirty conditions).
Check tire pressure.
Check the belts for wear or cracks.
Every 100 hours
Replace the air-cleaner foam element (more often in dusty, dirty conditions).
Service the air-cleaner paper element (more often in dusty, dirty conditions).
Change the engine oil and lter (more often in dusty, dirty conditions).
Check the spark plug(s).
Check the in-line fuel lter.
Every 200 hours
Replace the air-cleaner paper element (more often in dusty, dirty conditions).
Replace the spark plug(s).
Replace the in-line fuel lter.
Before storage
Charge the battery and disconnect the battery cables.
Perform all maintenance procedures listed above before storage.
Paint any chipped surfaces.
CAUTION
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidently start the engine and seriously injure
you or other bystanders.
Remove the key from the ignition before you perform any maintenance.
