Thetransmissionbeltistensionedbyaspring-loaded
idlerpulley.Ifyoumustengageordisengagethe
belttension,usea3/8-inchwrenchtorotatethe
engage/disengageshaft(Figure46)tothedesired
position.Rotatingtheshaft1/4-turn(90°)clockwise
disengagestheidlerfromthebelt(Figure47).
Note:Youmustdisengagethebelttensionbefore
removingthetransmissioncover
Note:Thetransmissionbeltisproperlytensioned
whenthealignmentmarksonthetransmissioncover
andtheengagementshaftarealigned.
