totheOnpositionstobeginspraying.
10.Allowallofthewaterinthetanktosprayoutthough
thenozzles.
11.Checkthenozzlestoensurethattheyareallspraying
correctly.
12.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffposition,setthe
pumpswitchtotheOffposition,andstoptheengine.
13.Repeatsteps4through12atleast2moretimesto
ensurethatthespraysystemisfullycleaned.
Important:Youmustalwayscompletethis
procedureatleast3timestoensurethatthespray
systemisfullyclean,preventingdamagetothe
system.
14.Cleanthestrainer;refertoCleaningtheSuction
Strainer(page29).
Important:Ifyouusedwettablepowder
chemicals,cleanthestraineraftereachtank.
15.Usingagardenhose,rinseofftheoutsideofthe
sprayerwithcleanwater.
16.Removethenozzlesandcleanthembyhand.Replace
damagedorwornnozzles.
CalibratingtheSectionValves
Important:IfyouhavetheProControl™SpraySystem
installed,theboombypassvalvesmustbeclosed.Use
thefollowingadjustmentonlywhenyouarenotusing
theProControlSpraySystem.
Beforeusingthesprayerforthersttimeorifthenozzlesare
changed,adjustthesectionvalvessothatthepressureand
applicationrateremainsthesameforallboomsectionswhen
youturnoneormoresectionsoff.
Note:Thesectionvalvesmustbecalibratedeachtimethe
nozzlesarechanged.
Important:IfmachineisequippedwithaProControl™
SpraySystem,disregardthefollowingstepsbelowthis
importantnoteforcalibratingthesectionvalvesand
readthisnotice:WhenusingaProControl™system,
thesectionvalvesarenotused;closethesectionvalves
byrotatingtheredbypassknobsclockwise.Thevalve
isclosedonceyoufeelaslightresistancewhilerotating
theknob.Applyingexcessivetorquetothebypassknob
coulddamagethevalve.Thebypassknobmayrequire
3to4fullrotations(360°=1rotation)tocompletely
closethevalve.Thenumbersprintedonthevalveare
forreferenceonly;settingtheknobto“0”doesnot
guaranteethevalveisclosed.IfyouareusingthePro
Control™system,youdonotneedtoadjustthesection
valvesoncetheyareclosed.Ifyouusethemachineto
spraymanually(withouttheProControl™system),refer
tothestepsforcalibratingtheboombypassvalvesprior
tousingthemachine.
1.Selectanopenatareatoperformthisprocedure.
2.Fillthespraytankwithcleanwater.
3.Lowertheleftandrightboomsections.
4.Settheparkingbrakeandstarttheengine.
5.Setallthreesectionswitchesandthemasterboom
switchtotheOnposition.
