Checktheconditionandtensionofthealternator/cooling
fanbelt.Replacethebeltasnecessary.
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremovethe
keyfromthestarterswitch.
2.Checkthetensionbydepressingthebeltmidway
betweenthealternatorandthecrankshaftpulleyswith
10kg(22lb)offorce.
Note:Thebeltshoulddeect10to12mm(0.39to
0.47inches).Ifthedeectionisnotcorrect,goto3.
Ifitiscorrect,youmayskiptheremainderofthis
procedureandresumeoperatingthesprayer.
3.Loosentheboltsthatsecurethebracetotheengine
andtheboltthatsecuresthealternatortothebrace
(Figure74).
