Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
2.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
3.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclampstogether
andslidethemawayfromthelter(Figure26).

•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Neversmokewhendrainingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereaspark
mayignitethefuelfumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensure
thatthefueltanksdraincompletely.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure
26).
4.Disconnectthefuellinefromthefuellter
(Figure26).
Note:Allowfueltodrainintoafuelcontainer
canordrainpan(Figure26).
Note:Thisisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethe
hoseclampclosetothefuelltertosecurethe
fuelline(Figure26).
