Usingthe
Battery-DisconnectSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andmovethemotion-controllevers
outwardtothePARKposition.
2.Shutoffthemachine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Unplugthebatterychargerifitisconnected.
4.Positionthebatterydisconnectswitchto
electricallyde-energizeorenergizethemachine.

WARNING
Thebatteriescontainhighvoltage,which
couldburnorshockyou.
•Donotattempttoopenthebatteries.
•Useextremecarewhenhandlingabattery
withacrackedcase.
•Useonlythechargerdesignedforthe
batteries.
Thelithium-ionbatteriesholdasufcientchargeto
performintendedworkduringitslifespan.
Toachievemaximumlifeandusefromyourbatteries,
followtheseguidelines:
•Donotopenthebattery.
•Store/parkthemachineinaclean,drygarageor
storagearea,awayfromdirectsunlight,heat
sources,rain,andwetconditions.Donotstore
itinalocationwherethetemperatureexceedsthe
rangespeciedinBatteryStorageRequirements
(page53).Temperaturesoutsideofthisrange
willdamageyourbatteries.Hightemperatures
duringstorage,especiallyatahighstateofcharge,
reducesthelifeofthebatteries.
•Whenstoringthemachineformorethan10days,
ensurethatthemachineisinacoolanddry
location,outofsunlight,rain,andwetconditions.
•Ifyouaremowinginhotconditionsorinstrong,
directsunlight,thebatterymayoverheat.Ifthis
happens,ahigh-temperaturealertwillappearon
theInfoCenter,thecuttingunitswilldisengage,
andthemachinewillslowdown.
Immediatelydrivethemachinetoacoollocation
outofthesun,turnoffthemachine,andallowthe
batteriestocoolfullybeforeresumingoperation.
•Maintainthesharpnessofthemowerblades.
Adullbladeincreasespowerconsumptionand
reducestheamountofworkthatthemachine
performsoneachcharge.
•Uselightsonlywhenitisnecessary.
