1.Cleantheareaaroundeachofthesparkplugssothat
foreignmattercannotfallintothecylinderswhenyou
removethesparkplugs.

andremovetheplugsfromthecylinderheads.
3.Checktheconditionofthesideelectrode,thecenter
electrode,andtheinsulatortoensurethatthereisno
damage.
Important:Replacethesparkplugsiftheyare
cracked,fouled,dirty,orotherwisemalfunctioning.
Donotcleantheelectrodes,becausegritentering
thecylindermaydamagetheengine.
4.Foreachsparkplug,setthegapbetweenthecenter
electrodeandthesideelectrodeto0.76mm(0.030
inch);refertoFigure45.Installeachofthecorrectly
gappedsparkplugswithagasketseal,andtightenthe
plugsto22N-m(16ft-lb).
