1.Starttheengineandletitrununtilwarm.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachinesothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoassuretheoildrains
completely.
3.Disengagethebladecontrolswitchandmovethe
motioncontrolsoutwardtotheparkposition.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Cleantheareaaroundthedrainplugandonthe
machineframe.Placeapanunderneathmachine
directlybelowthedrainholeintheframeasshown
inFigure26.

6.Removetheoildrainplug(Figure26).Removethe

withtheopenendup.Pournewoiloftheproper
type,inthroughthethreadedcenterhole.Stop
pouringwhentheoilreachesthebottomofthe
threads.Allowaminuteortwofortheoiltobe
absorbedbytheltermaterial.
11.Applyathinlmofcleanoiltotherubbergasketon
thenewlter.
12.Installthereplacementoilltertothemountingpad.
Turntheoillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasket
contactsthepad,thentightenthelteranadditional
2/3to1turn(Figure27).

aroundthesparkplugtopreventdirtfromfalling
intotheengineandpotentiallycausingdamage.
