carbon-canisterpurge-linelterawayfromthelter
(Figure36).
4.Removeanddiscardthepurge-linelter(Figure36).
5.Installanewlterintothehosewiththearrowon
thelterpointingawayfromthecarboncanisterand
secureitwiththehoseclamps(Figure36).
6.Installtherear-accesscover;seeClosingthe
Rear-AccessCover(page27).

Every100hours—Changetheengineoil.
Every200hours—Changetheoillter.
Note:Changetheoilandltermorefrequentlywhen
operatingconditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.

ChangingtheOil
1.Starttheengineandletitrunfor5minutes.This
warmstheoilsothatitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthetractionunitsothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensurethattheoil
drainscompletely.
3.Lowertheloaderarms,settheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
CAUTION
Componentswillbehotifthetractionunithas
beenrunning.Ifyoutouchhotcomponents,
youmaybeburned.
Allowthetractionunittocoolbefore
performingmaintenanceortouching
componentsunderthehood.
