CheckingtheSparkPlugs
1.Lookatthecenterofbothsparkplugs(Figure41).If
youseelightbrownorgrayontheinsulator,theengine
isoperatingproperly.Ablackcoatingontheinsulator
usuallymeansthattheaircleanerisdirty.
Important:Nevercleanthesparkplugs.Always
replacethesparkplugswhentheyhaveablack
coating,wornelectrodes,anoilylm,orcracks.

ChangingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours/Yearly(whichevercomes
rst)
1.Lowertheloaderarms,shutofftheengine,andremove
thekey.
2.Openthehoodandremovetheleftsidescreen.
3.Loosenthetankcaptorelievepressure.
4.Clampthefuellinesonbothsidesofthefuellter
(Figure42).

6.Placeadrainpanunderthefuellinestocatchanyleaks,
thenremovethelterfromthefuellines.
7.Slidethefuellinesonthenewfuellterttings,
ensuringthatthearrowonthelterpointsawayfrom
thefuellinecomingfromthefueltankandtowardthe
linegoingtothefuelpump.
Important:Neverinstalladirtylter.
8.Movethehoseclampsclosetothelter.
9.Removetheclampblockingfuelowandopenthe
fuelvalves.
10.Securethetankcap.
11.Replacethesidescreenandclosethehood.
