bottomofthellplug.

4.Installthedrainplugandseal,andtorqueitto
20to27N∙m(15to20ft-lb).
5.Fillthetransaxlewiththespecieduiduntilit
runsoutofthellhole.
6.Installthellplugandseal,andtorqueitto20to
27N∙m(15to20ft-lb).
CheckingtheNeutral
Gear-ShiftPosition
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Whenperformingroutinemaintenanceand/orengine
diagnostics,shiftthetransaxleintoNEUTRAL.The
machinehasaNEUTRALpositiononthegear-shift
selector,whichcontrolstheneutralinthetransaxle.
Performthefollowingstepstoensurethattheneutral
shiftleveroperatesthetransaxleneutralcorrectly:
1.Setthegear-shiftselectortotheNEUTRAL
position.
2.Rotatethesecondaryclutch(Figure68)toseeif
itspinsfreelyintheNEUTRALposition.
3.Setthegear-shiftselectortotheFORWARD
position.
4.Rotatethesecondaryclutch(Figure68)toseeif
itrotatestherearwheels.
5.Setthegear-shiftselectortotheREVERSE
position.
6.Rotatethesecondaryclutch(Figure68)toseeif
itrotatestherearwheels.
7.Ifanyofthesetestsfail,proceedtoAdjusting
theNeutralGear-ShiftPosition(page49).
