1.Starttheengineandletitrunforveminutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Placeapanbelowtheoildrain.Removethedrain
plugandlettheoildraincompletely(
Figure43).
6.Removetheoilllercapfromthetopoftheengine
(Figure45).Thiswillhelptheoiltodrain.
7.Installthedrainplugandtightenitto25-1/2ft-lb
(35N-m).

Important:Thefastenersforthefrontenginepanel
aredesignedtoremainonthemachineaftercover
removal.Loosenallofthefastenersafewturnsso
thatthepanelisloosebutstillattached,thengo
backandloosenthemuntilthepanelcomesfree.
Thiswillpreventyoufromaccidentallystripping
theboltsfreeoftheretainers.
1.Tilttheseatforward,loosentheboltsandremove
thefrontenginepanel(
Figure44).
