2-12 Strata CIX PC Attendant Console Installation 06/09
Make Station Assignments on CIX
This procedure is for programming a digital station as the attendant console speech path. If you
are setting up an IP attendant console (and do not want a digital station option) skip to
“IP Station
Assignment” on page 2-13.
1. Digital Station Assignment:
a. Select Station > Station Assignments (Program 200), specify the Prime DN for this
particular Attendant Console. The number entered here is the DN used to reach this
specific console.
Do not use 0 as the Prime DN. Dial 0 is set in “Create Dial 0
Destination” on page 18. Do not assign the Attendant Console PDN to another DKT
or station.
b. Enter data for the FBs listed below:
p 01 – Specifies the equipment number (shelf/slot/port) required for assigning a new DN to
the system. Set the CIX Attendant Console DN to the BDKU\BDKS or BWDKU port
(required).
p 02 – Select DKT Station type (required).
p 03 – Select Extension (not Voice Mail).
p 04 – Toshiba recommends entering COS 10 at the following three prompts:
“COS DAY1=10”, “COS DAY2=10” and “COS Night=10” (preferred).
p 11 – Select Dial Tone - selects Dial Tone as the tone heard after LCR access codes are
dialed.
2. Make DKT Data Assignments on CIX
a. Select Station > Station Assignments > DKT Tab (Program 204), enter the Prime DN for
this particular Attendant Console.
3. Enter data listed below:
p 01 – Assign the Station Type as “Attendant” (required).
p 02 – Select 3 to assign the key strip assignments for the Attendant Console (required).
p 05 – Select Tone First signaling (required).
