Installing the Battery pack
To install the battery pack, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-1.
CAUTION: There is a danger that the lithium ion battery pack may explode if not fitted,
operated, handled, or disposed correctly. Dispose always the used battery
pack in accordance with the laws and ordinances of your local authority.
Use only the batteries approved by Toshiba.
NOTE: Check the battery’s terminals visually. If they are dirty, wipe them clean with a
dry cloth.
1. Turn off the power of the computer.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter and all other external devices to the computer.
3. Insert the battery pack into the battery slot. Make sure the battery pack is installed
securely and the battery lock is in the lock position.
